Jennie Stuart Medical Center celebrates 100th Anniversary

This week marks a momentous occasion in the Hopkinsville-Christian County area.

This Wednesday marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Jennie Stuart Medical Center with Director of Marketing and Community Relations, Jim Goss talking about the local hospital’s founder.



Goss also talks about how Dr. Stuart’s personal tragedy following his wife’s death led to the creation of the hospital, which since its inception has saved thousands of lives.



The original 28-bed hospital opened on July 1, 1914 and officials at Jennie Stuart say from now until July of next year they will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the hospital, which took 18 months to build.
