A Hopkinsville man was arrested on unlawful imprisonment charges Thursday for allegedly beating his girlfriend and holding her captive for six days.
Hopkinsville Police responded to 729 Hipkins Street Thursday morning for a possible disturbance. Inside the home, they found 42-year old Nicole Henley of Fulton, Kentucky; who said 41-year old Joseph Russo of Hopkinsville had beaten her and kept her locked in his residence since February 8th.
Police say Russo was yelling at police and would not comply with any orders. Russo was arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment and disorderly conduct and was lodged in the Christian County Jail, where he remains on five thousand dollars bond.
Ms. Henley reportedly sustained minor injuries from Russo while being held captive.
