Motorists in Hopkinsville will likely see new way-finding signs around town, as the first eight are being placed around town this week.
An unveiling ceremony was held at City Hall where Mayor Dan Kemp and officials with the Chamber of Commerce marked the occasion. The Mayor says the green, red and gold signs featuring a depiction of the old fire house clock at the top will beautify the city and make finding popular destinations easier for tourists.
Mayor Kemp says the signs are an indication that Hopkinsville is growing and says the city joins other progressive cities that have already installed similar signage.
The first eight signs are being installed this week and another eight are on order.
