Christian County Judge-Executive busy marrying couples today

For the past 20-years Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble has married thousands of couples and Valentine’s Day is typically a busy one for the local judge.

According to his office staff, 13 couples today have already registered to be married at Judge Tribble’s Chapel of Love located on Bethel Street.

The record number of weddings Judge Tribble has performed over the years is 22, with 17 the next highest and this year may prove to break the current record.

Judge Tribble says he always feels honored to perform the weddings and to be a part of a couple’s big day.



Close to 7,700 weddings have been performed at the Chapel of Love with Judge Tribble donating all the proceeds to the county.



At the end of December, the county treasurer reported that $159,000 has been donated by Judge Tribble over the course of 20-years.
