Kentucky students wanting to drop out of school may soon find themselves in a tougher position.
Governor Steve Beshear thanked the House Education Committee for passing a proposed bill that raises the drop-out age.
Governor Beshear was quoted as saying he applauded the committee’s repeated support of the Graduation Bill, which raises the drop out age to 18-years old, instead of 16-years old.
Beshear added he looked forward to working with both the House and the Senate to pass this bill to keep youths in school.
