A wreck at East 9^th and College Street yesterday afternoon injured three people.

The Hopkinsville Police report says 30-year old Darrell Maxie of Hopkinsville was stopped at the intersection just before 5, waiting to make a left turn onto College.

Approaching him from behind was 50-year old Peggy Bassford of Hopkinsville, who didn’t stop in time to avoid a rear-end collision. Ms. Bassford swerved in an attempt to avoid a wreck and ran off the roadway after hitting Maxie’s bumper.

Ms. Bassford and her passenger, 51-year old Robert Jones of Hopkinsville were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries—as was Maxie.
