Expensive jewelry stolen from vehicle on South Main St.

Someone broke into a vehicle on South Main Street Friday night, getting away with over $3,000 worth of property.

The suspect or suspects used an eight inch piece of concrete to break out the left rear window of the vehicle belonging to 34-year old Macrina Jose between 8:30 and 9:45pm Friday.

The vehicle was parked at 209 South Main and the woman’s purse was inside. The perpetrator got away with several pieces of expensive jewelry, three checks totaling $900, $400 cash and several personal documents.

Total value of property taken is listed at $3,244.
