Two injured in Hopkinsville wreck

Two people were injured in a wreck at West 15th Street and Phelps Avenue Friday afternoon.

The report from Public Safety Officer Chris Bond says 54-year old Pamela Oliver of Herndon was headed west on 15th when 26-year old Kasey Downey of Hopkinsville failed to stop at a stop sign on Phelps and drove into her path.

Ms. Oliver’s car hit Ms. Downey’s SUV in the side, causing the Blazer to overturn. An ambulance took Ms. Downey and her passenger, 29-year old Richard Stavena of Hopkinsville, to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Ms. Oliver and her four passengers went uninjured.
