An Evansville man was injured in a wreck in Hopkins County late Saturday morning. A news release from Kentucky State Police says 17-year old Jeffry Deunk of Effingham, Illinois was southbound on KY 293 just before noon when he said his brakes failed as he reached the stop sign at the intersection with KY 293. He entered the path of a vehicle driven by 67-year old Anthony Tenhumberg of Evansville, Indiana, who was unable to avoid a collision. Deunk avoided injury, but Tenhumberg was taken by ambulance to Baptist Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries. *** 02/09/2013/am |
