Fort Campbell soldiers returning home Saturday

Hundreds of Fort Campbell soldiers are scheduled to return home following their nine-month deployment to Afghanistan, just in time for Valentines Day.

A welcome home ceremony is scheduled to take place at Fort Campbell’s Passenger Processing Center Saturday night.

Military officials say the welcome home ceremony completes the Strike Advisory Teams’ mission in Eastern Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The soldiers were the International Security Assistance Force’s lead unit facilitating the transition of full combat power to the Afghan National Security Forces in Regional Command East.
