Hopkinsville City Council and Mayor Dan Kemp remembered the legacy of longtime WHOP News Director and Early Bird host Jim Love at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Mayor Dan Kemp said Love covered the city’s business in a most professional way during his 40-year tenure at the station and thanked Jim’s family for sharing him with the community.

City Clerk Chrissy Upton read a proclamation commending the lifetime achievements of Love, which received an ovation from council and those in attendance.

The proclamation was presented to Jim’s family who was in attendance. Love passed away December 16^th after a long battle with cancer.
