Lieutenant Governor says Ky. tax structure needs more balance

Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson says the Blue Ribbon Tax Commission was presented with some daunting information when it began looking at tax modernization.

Lieutenant Governor Abramson says the commission received some lackluster financial projections for Kentucky’s future if nothing changed.

He says the commission’s 54 recommendations aim for balance in the tax structure, something he says has been lacking.

The recommendations certainly have detractors and the Kentucky General Assembly will likely consider tax code reform at some point during this year’s session.
