Gas prices are on the rise in West Central Kentucky according to a recent survey according to a Kentucky not-for-profit association.
Gas prices went up 22 cents this week to $3.481 per gallon and prices across the U.S. have also increased significantly due to escalating oil prices and refinery issues.
The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.53, which is a 17 cent increase compared to one week ago, and 23 cents more than one month ago and a nickel more than the average price one year ago.
This week’s average price of gas in Kentucky is $ 3.81.
The average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in Bowling Green is $3.47, in Elizabethtown its $3.43 and in Louisville its $3.58.
AAA East Central of Louisville, is a not-for-profit association with 80 local offices in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, New York and Kentucky.
