One person was injured in wreck near the Russellville Wal-Mart Saturday.

The incident happened around 12:45pm on the 68-Bypass at the Highland Lick Road intersection, according to a news release, which says 52-year old Linda Evans of Russellville had just proceeded to go after the light turned green when she was rear-ended by 55-year old Lavena Porter of Morgantown.

Ms. Porter’s vehicle left the road and went down a steep ditch before finally coming to rest. Witnesses removed her from the vehicle and an ambulance took her to Logan Memorial Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries.

Police say Ms. Evans was not injured.
