| Work to be done at busy Hopkinsville intersection Wednesday |
|
There will likely be some traffic issues on Fort Campbell Boulevard near Wal-Mart tomorrow as crews work on signals there. A news release from the Kentucky Transpiration Cabinet says a crew will use bucket trucks to update the traffic light at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Clinic Drive beginning around 9am. The crew will upgrade the lights to include new “puck” sensors to replace traffic loops that detect vehicles approaching the signal. Motorists are told to be alert for changing traffic configurations as the work goes on throughout the day. They expect to be done with the work zone by 4pm, though work could resume Thursday if needed. About 25,000 vehicles travel through the intersection on an average day. ** 02/02/2013/am |
