A woman who allegedly ran into two separate vehicles on Fort Campbell Boulevard yesterday afternoon was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

The report says 42-year old Krista Abate of Hopkinsville first rear-ended a vehicle driven by 55-year old Phillip Merritt of Hopkinsville, disconnecting a trailer he was pulling with his vehicle.

Ms. Abate allegedly continued on and struck a vehicle stopped at a red light driven by 39-year old Robin Holland of Hopkinsville. She stayed at that scene and reportedly told Public Safety Officer Chris Bond that she didn’t remember the first wreck.

Abate was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to be checked out and reportedly admitted to police to having taken hyrdocodone and celexa before driving. Hospital staff found no injuries on Abate and she was arrested on her second DUI charge in the last five years.
