HPD investigates strong-armed robbery

Hopkinsville Police are investigating a strong-armed robbery from Saturday night.

The report from Officer Gabe Gillingham says the alleged robbery happened at the Cottonwood Apartments at 2907 Virginia Street around 8:30pm Saturday.

The victim, 39-year old Tony Adams of Cerulean, told police a man approached her vehicle and asked for a dollar for gas. When she went to get the money from an envelope, the man punched her in the back of the head and grabbed the envelope and fled the scene.

No description of the suspect is listed on the report and Ms. Adams said she didn’t know the man.
