Two men were shot and a woman was injured after jumping from a balcony after two suspects crashed a Clarksville party Thursday night and fired multiple shots into the apartment.

The incident happened at 135 Westfield Court, according to Public Information Officer Jim Knoll, who says officers responded around 10:30pm to multiple reports of shots fired.

When they arrived, they found a man inside apartment 106 with a gunshot wound to the leg and another man outside who had jumped from the balcony with a gunshot wound to the leg and he also had a hip injury.

An 18-year old woman had also injured her foot from making the jump from the balcony.

Police say witnesses gave varying accounts of what happened, but they came to a general consensus that two suspects came into the party with a handgun and rifle and started yelling before firing shots.

The party-goers began to scatter—some running out the door and some jumping from a window and the balcony. Police believe some of the people at the party may have known the suspects, but they do not have a description or name to release.

The news release says some of the party-goers had been consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana before the shooting. The three injured victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Clarksville Police at 931-645-8477.
