| Strong tornado hit Muhlenberg Co. Wednesday morning |
|
While some of the significant damage in Muhlenberg County was done by the straight-line winds coming from Todd County, the National Weather Service determined some of the damage was done by a rather strong tornado. A survey team determined an EF2 tornado packing winds of 120 miles per hour began 4 and a half miles southwest of Penrod around 2:05am Wednesday and ended in Penrod. The average width was 275 yards and the twister was on the ground for 4 and a half miles. No one was hurt or killed, but two mobile homes were completely destroyed and several houses sustained damage including one where roof was partially removed. ** 01/31/2013/am |
