PACS vehicle involved in Hopkins Co. wreck

A Pennyrile Allied Community Services vehicle was involved in wreck in Hopkins County Monday that injured a person in the other vehicle.

A news release from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says Jimmy Howard of Madisonville was driving the PACS vehicle north on Bean Cemetery Road around 3:15 when he stopped at Rose Creek Road.

Police say Howard then proceeded into the intersection and drove into the path of a woman identified only as Mary Duncan. Ms. Duncan was unable to stop and hit the PACS vehicle in the side.

The news release says a passenger in Ms. Duncan’s vehicle was taken to a local hospital, but does not identify that person. Howard and his passenger went uninjured in the collision.
