HWEA to begin hydrant flushing program this week

Officials with the Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority say not to be alarmed if you see water gushing out of a fire hydrant in the city this week.

A news release from the utility says they are beginning their city wide fire hydrant flushing and maintenance program this week. HWEA staff will systematically flush hydrants Monday through Friday each week, weather permitting.
