Sunday wreck injures man in Lyon County
A wreck in Lyon County early Sunday afternoon injured an Eddyville man.
The report from Kentucky State Police says 47-year old Jay Newell of Eddyville was northbound on KY 810 near Kuttawa around 1:30 when he ran off the right side of the road. His car traveled down an embankment and struck a ditch and utility guide wire.
Newell was cut from the wreckage by the Lyon County Rescue Squad and was taken by ambulance to Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. A dog in the car went uninjured and was taken to a facility for short term care.
