|Details released on fatal Pembroke wreck|
A young Todd County woman was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Pembroke Friday morning, with weather not listed as a factor.
The preliminary Christian County Sheriff’s Office report says the incident happened just before 1am near 399 West Nashville Street when 21-year old Kimberly Johnson of Roger Q Mill Road, Fairview ran off the road. Her vehicle hit a mailbox and flipped several times before coming to rest after hitting a brick barrier.
Ms. Johnson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead on the scene by Christian County Deputy Coroner Mike Stokes.
The report says Ms. Johnson may have fallen asleep at the wheel. It also says the pavement was dry at the time of the crash.
