Congressman Ed Whitfield this week was reappointed as chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Power of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
The subcommittee has jurisdiction to oversee numerous federal agencies and issues that play a major role in the nation’s energy policy.
Congressman Whitfield stated he believed great strides were made during the 112th Congress in reining in President Obama’s overreaching EPA, but that more work needed to be done.
Whitfield also commented that policies that help promote job creation, economic growth, and energy independence will continue to be pursued to help benefit Kentucky families. ** (01/24/2013/MF)
