Officials with the Kentucky Historical Society have launched a new tour that will be featured on their Explore Kentucky History’s Smartphone Application.

Available tour themes now include the topics of slavery and emancipation, the Civil War, the War of 1812, Abraham Lincoln, University of Kentucky and Danville.

 KHS officials say the Explore Kentucky’s Slavery and Emancipation History tour focuses on significant people, places and events that have been recognized on Kentucky's historical markers.

The Explore Kentucky History smartphone application is available free of charge at iTunes and Google Play.
