HPD traffic citations were down in 2012

Hopkinsville Police continue to enforce traffic laws and officials say their efforts are paying off.
Police Captain Michael Seis says over the past year, officers have flooded areas prone to traffic collisions and as a result, wrecks within the city have decreased last year compared to 2011.


Captain Seis also spoke about the departments mission over the next year to further reduce wrecks and DUI arrests.

Captain Seis is always inviting the public to attend the departments monthly crime statistics meeting, which is held every third Thursday of each month at police headquarters for residents interested in learning about local crime trends.
