| KSP raffling Camaro for Trooper Island |
|
Kentucky State Police are raffling off a 2013 Chevy Camaro to benefit this summer’s Trooper Island youth camp. A news release from KSP says tickets are sold at all state police posts across the commonwealth and they are sold by State Troopers and Vehicle Enforcement Officers for 10 dollars each. The drawing will be August 25th at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville. KSP says all proceeds will go toward Trooper Island, which is a summer camp for children on Dale Hollow Lake. The camp is free to the participants, who are underprivileged boys and girls ages 10 through 12. Police hope the camp will build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers. KSP will also be hosting a fundraiser golf tournament September 5th at Lake Barkley State Resort Park. ** 01/24/2013/am |
