Marshall Co. Sheriff's Office makes burglary arrest

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office diffused a dangerous situation Wednesday and made an arrest on multiple charges.

Deputy Nathan Maxlow was called to Arizona Street to assist in locating an individual, according to a news release, which says they had received information the man was in possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen guns.

The suspect, identified as 35-year old David Chadwell of Calvert City, had allegedly made threats to kill the residents of the home. Police found the man hiding under a bed and a 9 millimeter pistol was found under the mattress.

A computer check of the gun revealed it was stolen out of Knox County. David Chadwell was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
