Officials with the Pennyrile Allied Community Services Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is once again offering free basic tax preparation with electronic filing for qualified Christian County residents.

Residents interested in the free tax filing service are encouraged to make and appointment by calling 270-886-6341 with priority given to senior citizens in the community.

Residents with an appointment will then go to the PACS building, which is located at 1100 South Liberty Street on Monday and Wednesday starting Monday, February through Monday, April 15^th.

The free service is made possible through a grant from the Internal Revenue Service, which pays for volunteers to receive training and become IRS certified to help individuals file simple tax return filings.
