The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a local man Tuesday who is accused of assaulting and threatening a pregnant woman earlier this month.

Served with an arrest warrant on fourth degree assault and terroristic threatening charges was 37-year old Antawn Nance of West 13^th Street, Hopkinsville. The warrant served by Lieutenant Wade Connell alleges that Nance grabbed a female from behind on January 7^th and began to choke her.

The victim broke away and ran outside, where Nance allegedly threw her against a car and assaulted her again—saying he was going to make her miscarry. Nance is also accused of threatening to kill the victim.

Nance was lodged in the Christian County Jail on $2,000 bond.
