Clarksville Police released more details of a two-vehicle wreck that sent a man by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Police say 36-year old Yeni Henderson was driving east on Purple Heart Highway in a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant, when 19-year old Frederick Devon Robinson, who was traveling north from Evans Road in a 2000 Lincoln LS, rolled through a Stop sign and into the path of Henderson’s vehicle.
Police say Robinson’s two passengers, 28-year old Kendall Ashby and 18-year old DaeShayne Powers, were not wearing seatbelts when the wreck occurred.
Police say Kendall Ashby sustained head and chest injuries and is now listed in stable condition after he was flown by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt and was previously listed in critical condition.
Henderson, Robinson and Powers went uninjured in the wreck with Powers cited for simple possession.
All individuals in the wreck were Clarksville residents and police say the investigation into the two-vehicle wreck remains ongoing and that charges are pending. ** (01/22/2013/MF)
