A man wanted for alleged involvement in a recent robbery and shooting in Clarksville turned himself in yesterday after seeing his photo in several media outlets.
A news release from Clarksville Police says 19-year old Mark Austin Ellis is charged with aggravated robbery for an incident on Lincoln Drive January 15th. The 33-year old victim said he was he had been drinking and attempted to buy drugs and that’s when Ellis and at least one other suspect robbed him and shot him in the foot.
Ellis had also been wanted on several outstanding warrants for domestic assault, criminal trespass and other felonies according to Clarksville Police. He was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail after turning himself in at police headquarters around 9:30am Saturday.
