Officials with Murray State University say they plan on having a Spike Lee Film Festival later this month.

The film festival is scheduled to take place Monday, January 28^th through Saturday, February 2^nd in the Curris Center on Campus with the event to lead up to the 2013 MSU Presidential Lecture Series that features Lee speaking on America Through My Lens.

Officials say on Monday, January 28^th, a Red Carpet Reception will begin at 6:15 p.m., followed by a showing of Inside Man at 7:15 p.m. in the Curris Center Theater.

A showing of Get on the Bus will also take place at the Curris Center Barkley Room on Wednesday, Jan. 30^th at 7:15 p.m.

Officials say the last two films in the festival will both be shown in the Curris Center Theater — “Do the Right Thing” on Friday, February 1^st at 10:30 p.m. and School Daze on Saturday, February 2^nd at 11:30 p.m.

Spike Lee is scheduled to speak on Monday, February 4^th 7:30 p.m. in Lovett Auditorium.
The MSU President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion is sponsoring the Spike Lee Film Festival.

All events are free and open to the public.
