101st Airborne Division soldiers continue to train and test their skills

Over the next few months, soldiers with the 101st Airborne Division will be returning home from their nine-month deployments from Afghanistan, while hundreds of other soldiers are preparing to go to the war.

Most recently, soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team returned home from their deployment, just in time for the holidays.

Deputy Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Townley Hedrick gave an update about the brigade’s activity now that most of the soldiers are back on U.S. soil.

Lieutenant Colonel Hedrick also stated soldiers within the brigade will be undergoing additional training over the next few months to prepare soldiers for any situation.

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team currently has 3500 soldiers.
