| Two women injured in Clarksville shooting |

Clarksville Police are investigating after two women were shot inside their vehicle on Kraft Street this morning. A news release says two 21-year old males and two 18-year old females had just left a club on College Street where a large fight had broken out around 1:45am. They were in a vehicle headed west on Kraft Street toward Riverside Drive when a Buick Lesabre pulled up next to them and the front passenger fired several shots into their car. The bullets struck one of the females in the leg and the other in the knee. Police have released audio from the ensuing 911 call.
The victims pulled into a motel parking lot on Kraft, while the perpetrators in the dark-colored Buick sped off toward College Street. No suspect information was available and the victims said they didn’t recognize the perpetrators. The woman shot in the leg was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries and the other woman was taken to Gateway Medical Center.
