Kentucky gets grant to comply with healthcare law

Kentucky is getting some federal help in meeting requirements of the Affordable Healthcare Act.

The state will receive more than 180-million-dollars to help set up the system. Some lawmakers had battled against creating the exchange, saying it would be too much of a burden on the state's budget. The federal grant is a multi-year deal. The exchanges act as a place where residents can shop for healthcare plans.
