| Pennyroyal Arts Council Executive Director, Carol Barta retires |

A dedicated crowd of well-wishers attended this afternoon’s retirement ceremony for outgoing Pennyroyal Arts Council Executive Director, Carol Barta. Mrs. Barta also spoke about her plans for the future. Mrs. Barta came to Hopkinsville from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2002 when her husband, Anthony Barta accepted a pastoral position at First Presbyterian Church. She served as Executive Director for 7 ½ years. The Board of Directors of the Arts Council held the retirement reception at the Train Depot from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and previously announced that Margaret Prim would replace Mrs. Barta as the next Pennyroyal Arts Council Executive Director |
