One of the people injured in a wreck in Hopkins County Tuesday morning has died from his injuries.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says 55-year old David Haywood of Stagecoach Road, Hanson succumbed to his injuries.

As previously reported, police said 17-year old Joseph Martin of Hanson was driving south on Stagecoach just before noon and crossed the center line in a curve and struck another vehicle head-on, which was driven by 75-year old Luann Haywood of Hanson.

Ms. Haywood and her passenger, David Haywood, were both taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Emergency Department. Ms. Haywood was in stable condition at last check.

Martin was transported to Baptist Health Emergency Department by private vehicle for a foot injury.
