Clarksville Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for a robbery where he shot the victim in the foot.

A news release says officers responded to the area of 31 Lincoln Drive after 911 received a call that a man had been robbed and shot in the foot. The 33-year old male victim initially told police he had just been walking toward Austin Peay when he was flagged down by two victims and robbed.

The story reportedly quickly changed and police determined the victim had been drinking and attempting to buy drugs from his robbers. During the course of the robbery, he was shot in the foot.

Police have named one of the suspects as 19-year old Mark Austin Ellis, who has a long list of other warrants on file in addition to the new one for aggravated robbery. The other warrants include charges of domestic assault, criminal trespass and several other felonies.

The victim was taken to Gateway Medical Center for treatment of his injuries and anyone knowing Ellis’ whereabouts should call 931-645-8477.
