Pennyrile Parkway shut down in Hopkins Co. for tanker incident

Anyone headed toward Henderson or Evansville this morning will likely have a longer trip than usual.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says all four lanes of the Pennyrile Parkway are shut down near the 54 mile-marker for a tanker truck on fire.

A detour was being set up via US 41 between the Slaughters-Calhoun exit at KY 138 and the Hanson exit. Crews expected the closure that began around 6:30 to last for about three hours.
