Kentucky State Police continue to investigate a single vehicle injury wreck that occurred on North Jackson Highway in Hart County on Friday.
State Police say 39-year old John G. Price of Canmer was driving Northbound on U.S. 31-East when, for unknown reasons, he failed to negotiate a curve.
Police say as a result, Price’s vehicle left the roadway, struck an earth embankment, went airborne, struck a fence, and overturned.
Police also say Price was ejected from the vehicle through the driver’s side window and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was transported by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital where his condition was listed as stable.
Police say alcohol is a suspected factor in the collision and the investigation into the wreck is being handled by Trooper Daniel White.
Trooper Jeremy Smith, Constable Bobby Tweedy, the Hardyville Fire Department, Hart County EMS , and Air Methods also provided assistance on the scene. **
