Hopdown the Pounds Kick-off tomorrow in Hopkinsville

Officials with the Healthy Community Coalition are once again inviting Hopkinsville-Christian County residents to get fit by participating in their 3rd annual 8-week Hopdown the Pounds Challenge.

The kick off event is scheduled to take place tomorrow at Bradford Square Mall from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Kevin Meacham with the Hopkinsville YMCA talks about what participants can expect during the kick-off.



Meacham also spoke about the success of last year’s participants.



For $15, participants will have the opportunity to attend 10 fitness classes, 4 nutritional classes and 2 cooking classes.

Organizers say $1000 will be given to the overall male and female winners and $200 will be given to each male and female age category winner.

The Grand Finale will be March 9th from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and Bradford Square Mall.
