| Power outage closes Lacy Elementary School Friday |
|
It’s not uncommon for kids to get a day off from school from time to time in the winter, but it does become unusual when it’s 60 degrees outside. That’s the situation Lacy Elementary School students find themselves in as a power outage closed that building for a day. District Spokesperson Heather Aubin notified media just after 6 this morning that Lacy students would be dismissed before the day began. Pennyrile Rural Electric says a power line was reported down around 2:15 this morning, knocking electricity out to about 547 customers in the Lacy area. Crews are on the scene of the problem and Pennyrile says the lights will be back on as soon as possible. ** 01/11/2013/am |
