Renewing a Tennessee Driver’s License made easy in Clarksville

Renewing a Tennessee Driver’s License has just got a little easier.

The Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security recently installed a self-service kiosk in the Montgomery County Election Commission Office located in the Veterans Plaza at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 404 in Clarksville.

The Clarksville kiosk is one of 40 being installed across the state.

Officials say residents can renew or replace their license or ID within minutes.

To begin, officials add that residents must first touch the screen, then scan their current license, enter their information, take a new photo and pay with a credit or debit card and then a temporary paper license will be printed.

The permanent license will be mailed to in 5-7 days.

The kiosk is available during Election Commission hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For more information you can contact the Montgomery County Election Commission at 648-5707.
