Hundreds of pounds of Marijuana was confiscated from a Elkton man’s residence yesterday.
Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations and South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force initiated a joint investigation, which led authorities to execute a search warrant at 1130 Miller Valley Road, which is the residence of Mervin Sears.
State Police say about 455 pounds of processed marijuana, 307 marijuana plants, over $16,000 in U.S. currency, 10 firearms, indoor growing equipment and assorted drug paraphernalia including scales and baggies were confiscated from the residence.
Sears was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana over 5 pounds, Cultivation of Marijuana over 5 plants and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
KSP Post 2 and Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force assisted with the execution of the search warrant.
