HCC offering micro-enterprise development program for local entrepreneurs

Hopkinsville Community College officials say local entrepreneurs will have the chance to participate in an award-winning micro-enterprise development program starting later this month.

Operation JumpStart is set to begin Thursday, January 24th at HCC and is considered to be a hands-on 36 hour training program designed to help aspiring and existing entrepreneurs determine the feasibility of their business planning and preparation skills.

Officials say class topics will include business concept development, market research and analysis, pricing and financial projections and will be taught by certified instructors.

HCC Workforce Development Liason, Lea Martin says registration for the class is $39 and the regular fee is $299 per person, but HCC can offer the class at a reduced price, thanks to a grant that was awarded to the community college by The Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Southeast Missouri State University.
