Christian County Coroner Dorris Lamb says the woman found dead at a Howell Street home Saturday afternoon died from a gunshot wound.

Hopkinsville Police identified the murder victim as 20-year old Alicia Jackson soon after the incident at 725 Howell Street Saturday afternoon. The report from Officer Edward Eastman says the murder happened sometime between 3:30 and 5:30.

Police have declined to release many additional details on the killing, only saying detectives are following up on leads that have come in. Crime Stoppers Coordinator Officer Paul Ray says anyone with information that could help the investigation should call the anonymous tips line at 270-887-TIPS.
