Todd County fundraiser for Newtown families successful

The efforts by a Todd County business to raise money for families of the victims in Newtown, Connecticut have been successful by any measure.

Todd County and Cook-Webb Funeral Home owner-operator Shane Hessey says $3,903 was donated to the burial fund for the victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School last month.

Hessey says there was also a good turnout of people wanting to sign the register book to show support to the victims’ families. That register will be sent to the Connecticut town.

The money raised will make it to the victims through the Funeral Directors Association of Connecticut.
