Update on victims from Bypass, Crofton wrecks

The man who was injured when his horse and buggy was rear-ended on the Eagle Way Bypass Saturday evening continues to recover at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A spokesperson for the Nashville Hospital says 18-year old Dan Zook of Hopkinsville is in stable condition.

A news release from Hopkinsville Police Public Information Officer Paul Ray says Zook was traveling on the Bypass in a buggy around 5:20 when he was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 22-year old Bradley Ezell.

Zook was taken by Air Evac to Vanderbilt, while Ezell went uninjured in the collision near the Cox Mill Road intersection.

Meanwhile, 37-year old Michael McBride of McBride Lane is also in stable condition at Vanderbilt following Friday’s wreck on Madisonville Road. That incident happened around 10:15am near the 29 mile-marker when a northbound McBride veered into the southbound lane and hit a Frito Lay truck driven by 44-year old William Ray of Hanson head-on. Ray was not hurt in that crash.
