Kentucky State Police arrested a Hopkinsville man in Madisonville Thursday after they said he ran from police during a traffic stop.

A news release from KSP says Trooper Bob Winters initiated a traffic stop on Hall Street around 3:50, with the driver turning onto Harrig Street before pulling over.

The driver immediately got out of the car and fled down South Harrig. Madisonville Police and KSP worked together to find the suspect and soon arrested 22-year old Courtney Williams of Hopkinsville after a foot chase on South Daves Street.

Williams was served with an arrest warrant from another agency, fleeing from police, driving with a suspended license and driving without a license plate or insurance. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
